The Summer of Love

It all began in 1967. Summer of Love is considered to be by many the birth of counterculture and the hippie movement. It not only emphasized peace and love, but it inspired several pivotal movements of American history: the gay rights movement, the women's movement, the anti-war movement and the simple desire to be free of organizational tyranny and decide for one’s self.
